How do wireless backup camera system work Camera is installed on the license plate, transmitter is installed inside of trunk door or any position inside the vehicle, camera and transmitter is joint together with cable, transmit is connected with reverse light power. Receiver is built in the cigarette lighter adapter,and connected with GPS device. When the vehicle is switched to reverse, camera is powered on, backup image is sent from transmitter to receiver, then shown on screen. After vehicle is switched back, camera is powered off, image transfer is stop. Signal transfer between transmitter and receiver is wireless, the system is easy to install, user can avoid complex wire organizing.

What kinds of vehicle are suitable to install this system? The signal is transfer in 2.4G MHz frequency, in open area and no interference situation, the signal can transfer up to 300 feet with good quality. The signal can go through almost all kinds of material except metal. So only those vehicle meet follow two conditions are suitable to use this system:
- No metal materials block between transmitter and receiver(so this system is not workable for most of pickup
truck)
- Distance between transmitter and receiver is better within 15 feet(for some long truck or vehicle, using a
extension cable to move the transmitter forward is recommended)
